The emotional suffering that arises from the feeling of having been mistreated by someone you love can generate a desire for revenge. The idea that one suffers while the other seems indifferent can lead to frustration and the need to turn the tables to feel better. However, this perspective is nonsense, as relationships should not be a competition of who feels more.
Demanding that the other person share our same concerns and feelings is unrealistic and counterproductive. The truth in a relationship does not imply winners or losers; When something ends, it is simply over. We are not omnipotent nor should we depend on others to save or condemn us. The key is to remember the importance of laughing and maintaining humor, even in difficult times, since the first victim of an unacknowledged truth is joy.
❝Relationships should not be a competition of who feels more❞.
Accepting pain and giving it its place in our lives is essential for our emotional well-being. Vulnerability is an intrinsic part of the human experience, and it is something we must accept rather than try to overcome. Change is a constant in life, and our ability to adapt to these changes is what allows us to grow and find inner peace.
